Class Information
A Week with Eleanor Rielander (Also available as a 2 day or 3 day class)
July 7-11, 2008
I am pleased to announce a week long class with one of the greatest gum paste flower teachers alive! Eleanor Rielander from South Africa will be teaching the fine art of making sugar flowers. Her past students include a veritable Who’s Who in the Sugarcraft world: Earlene Moore, Jo Ellen Simon, Kim Payne, Lori Cossou, Michele Foster, Janet Rosebeary, Cap Prachyl, Cheryl Hawkins, Carol Fink, Jennifer Jones and, of course, me! Many of her students have gone on to win the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show or have medaled consistently. With this year’s theme “The Language of Flowers” for the National Wedding Competition at OSSAS, this class is not to be missed!!
Her class will cover flowers such as Vanda Orchid, Nasturtium, leaves & filler flowers, Petrea flower, Bauhinia Orchid, Orange Blossom, Star of David and other items as time permits. If there is a specific flower you want to make, please notify me ahead of time and I will try to arrange that for you! Eleanor sells her own cutter line, which is extremely affordable compared to others on the market! For the money, you will never find a better class.
Class fee is only $350 for the entire week, which includes lunch and drinks. You can also register for a 2 day class for $140 or a 3 day class for $210. Classes will run from 9 am to 5 pm. Please arrive a bit early to set up your space so that you are ready to go when class begins. Class size is strictly limited. Reserve your spot today with your $50 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit by mailing a check and the completed Registration Form to the Oklahoma Sugar Art Academy, 7606 N. May, OKC, OK 73116. The check should be made payable to Ruth's Sweete Justice. Supply list information is available here.
